Couples looking to find their rhythm can do so with Beth Coffey and Marlon McAllister of Dancin’ Austin. Dance partners and friends for more than 10 years, the pair has taught hundreds of people how to appreciate and enjoy music through dance. Known and loved among dance communities from Austin to Lafayette, Beth and Marlon have performed and given lecture demonstrations about music and culture at the Smithsonian Institution, the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts and The University of Texas at Austin – they also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live during SXSW 2015. Together, they teach beginners and advanced students alike, offering instruction for the Texas two-step, Cajun two-step, zydeco and other styles of dance. Couples may opt to take lessons with Beth and Marlon wherever they feel most comfortable – be it in their own homes in Bastrop/Greater Austin or at the Dancin’ Austin studio near downtown.
